Eddie and the Wolves
Now a highly proficient singer/songwriter/producer, lending his hand to guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, drums and percussion, Brian isn’t short of inspiration, tailoring every composition from the idyllic surroundings of the Dandenong Ranges, Melbourne, Australia. His love for the environment, Buddhism and many other themes radiate though his work, and is found evident in every song written, music composed and videos produced, and is fully absorbed in any production of his own making, along with projects of others.
His passion for songwriting stems from the teachings of Professor Pat Pattison of Berklee College of Music, and with an undying hunger to learn more about his craft, Brian enrolled in his class for lyric writing and poetry, and is now surrounded by every tool possible for his continued success.
This amalgamation of a mixture of vintage and modern technology in the studio, embrace both sides of the recording process, and as a result, through utilizing synthesisers and modern recording techniques, they soon succeeded in creating their very own hybrid.
Soon after writing and recording his top 20 single, Heart, with The Ones, released on the Sony label, he went on to co-write the score for the movie Rikki and Pete, with Eddie Rayner from Split Enz and Crowded House fame. Eddie and Brian continued to work together as The Makers, releasing 2 CDs through Warner Brothers East West label, including the hit single Big Picture.
Together with drummer Michael Barker, they toured Australia and New Zealand with the B52s, and appeared on TV shows like MTV, Countdown, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Tonight Live and The Midday Show.

His career to date has given him the chance to write and record numerous radio and TV jingles, along with short film and documentary scores, and has performed at countless shows, writing and recording music and lyrics to the highest of standards, putting him top of his profession, and offers that same expertise from his recording studio The Bakery, producing, co-writing and assisting with songwriting and recording for a wide range of artists.
Eddie, The Alpha Wolf, draws his inspiration from Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Biffy Clyro and Fleetwood Mac, and now proudly fronts the band courtesy of his mentors.
Char, The Luna Wolf, tailors her style with Tash Sultana, Slipknot, Brother and Bones, Billie Eilish and Atilla by her side, who not only sets the standard in her performance, but her lyricism also.

Liam, The Delta Wolf, leans on The Mars Volta, Biffy Clryo, Prince, Rival Sons and Queens of the Stone Age to create his thunder, and now sits proudly on the riser, stoking the engine with wingman Kieran on bass.

And that brings me nicely to the single in question here, Let Me Be My Crazy.
Reflecting the subject matter to perfection here both lyrically and visually, Brian gives us all something we can all relate to at some point in our lives, where that little bit of crazy creeps in from time to time. And although as aforementioned, something not to take too seriously, it’s what being human is all about. So why not turn that sideways glance into a hug, turn your frown upside down, and give the one you are with a smile.
At this point in any promotional article I would break down the artist’s performance highlighting the key points, but here I wouldn’t want to insult someone so proficient within the industry, and feel its Brian that should be telling us.
But if there is one thing that needs to be said, it would be Thank you.
Star Rating – 10/10
Now it’s your chance to enjoy the music from a prolific writer and instrumentalist. His music has been described as
Simply Wonderful and Real Songwriting, whilst being Satisfyingly Grungy and Rocky At Times along with Weird and Experimental in others. But never really leaving the realms of a strong lyric and a memorable melody, Brian sets the cornerstone for a great song and a great artist.
So why not clear a space in your collection and give Brian Baker a try before the year is out.
